The works on paper are used as an arena to explore and experiment. I love the freedom that this enables and find that often this generates interesting and exciting results.

For this piece, I was fascinated by the idea of a continuous brushstroke to exemplify time and movement and to convey a sense of the energy and pressure of the stroke. The layering of the abstracted background plays with the sense of depth.
