Air Space
‘Airspace’ Oil paint on 2 sheets of acrylic Perspex. Having moved to the countryside from London, one of the most striking changes was the sense of space and the changing natural environment. This painting is meant to express the sensation of taking a deep breath. This is a view looking towards Whipsnade Zoo and is also on the flight path into London Luton Airport.
It has been created by applying paint using squeegees and rollers. In my work I’m constantly exploring different application tools and techniques which help convey different physicality of textures.
