Muswell Head
Oil on Glass
600 x 800 mm
This painting is an amalgamation of Cape Cornwall near Lands End and Muswell Hill Broadway in London. I’m fascinated by how such different places with such different energies can coexist at the same time. These experiences occur when we start the day in one place and travel to another carrying the memory echo of the first in our minds and even the salt and sand on our bodies in this case.
However this painting also warns of an imagined future when the seas may overrun our everyday lives that have contributed to it’s rise in the first place.
